The property owner explained that the rezoning is needed to expand trade contractor shop buildings and storage onto an adjacent parcel he recently acquired.

A neighboring business owner expressed concern that industrial zoning might allow future intensive uses and noted that Crawford Street is very narrow and difficult for large trucks to navigate.
